Enrichment Activities at Twin Lakes Terrace

Our Activity Coordinator ensures there’s never a dull moment with a variety of programs offered here at Twin Lakes Terrace. Here is a sample of a few activities offered for the fun, creativity and stimulation of our residents.

Residents Council – our Residents Council gives residents a voice here at Twin Lakes Terrace

Fitness Program – a critical component of our daily schedule, these activities help residents maintain mobility, strength and independence

Music and Entertainment – whether it is a music group, belly dancing, Wii games or a movie night, the residents are delighted by many opportunities for merriment

Continuing Education – we welcome various community groups into Twin Lakes Terrace to provide presentations on topics such as the benefits of Complimentary Health Modalities, Healthy Cooking or Knitting and Crocheting

Intergenerational Program – residents enjoy interacting with groups of children at several planned events throughout the year

Community Outings – whether shopping, taking a mystery tour, having lunch at a restaurant or a fish fry under the bridge, residents look forward to the outings to explore, socialize and stay connected to the outside world

Chapel and Religious Services – along with other opportunities for one to practice and strengthen one’s faith, various churches host our weekly services

Kitchen and Crafts – residents explore their creativity during craft time, decorating for theme of the month, baking or the Breakfaast Club

Community Work – we provide many opportunities for residents to give back through fundraising for selected local charities

Beauty Salon, Manicures & Hand Massage – residents can indulge in a bit of pampering at our on-site beauty salon and weekly programs in the Activity Room

Weekly In-House Physiotherapy – residents enjoy group exercises facilitated by our Physiotherapy Assistant, or one-on-one exercises as prescribed by the Physiotherapist

Falls Prevention Program  As part of the Falls Prevention Program, each resident is assessed by a registered physiotherapist who develops a personal plan to keep the resident fit, active, independent and safe. Classes implementing the residents plans take place 2 to 3 times weekly.
